Invest to Win is the next step in building the financial foundation necessary to recruit and retain elite student-athletes, support our coaches and programs, enhance the fan experience and pursue sustained competitive success.

We evaluated our current resources, the rapidly changing landscape of college athletics, and how Virginia Tech compares with programs competing at the highest level nationally. We are no longer benchmarking ourselves solely against our ACC peers. If we aspire to operate with a top-10 mentality, we must continue building the resources necessary to support that standard.

Our benchmarking extends beyond the ACC to programs competing consistently at the highest level of college athletics. Virginia Tech’s goal is to build a financial model that better reflects those national aspirations while remaining mindful of the commitment we ask of Hokie Nation.

Every season ticket holder’s situation is different based on seat location and associated commitments. Invest to Win Commitments replace the Hokie Scholarship Fund immediately. Updated football season ticket pricing will begin with the 2027 season. Changes to men’s and women’s basketball pricing will begin with the 2027-28 season. Additional details and timelines will be communicated directly to season ticket holders.

Your support of the Invest to Win Commitment will provide unrestricted discretionary dollars that will provide our athletics administration the ability to address the most pressing needs of Virginia Tech Athletics, including resources for student-athlete support, programmatic needs, facility upgrades, scholarship support and the recruitment and retention of top-tier coaching staffs.

You can still make an Invest to Win Commitment regardless of whether you have tickets. This is a wonderful way to advance Virginia Tech Athletics and provide the unrestricted discretionary support needed to help our student-athletes continue to compete for championships.

Though the Invest to Win Commitment pricing changes only affect football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball, the unrestricted nature of these funds allows our athletics administration the ability to address the most pressing needs in our department and will provide student-athlete and programmatic support to all of our teams.

Our goal is to deliver a game day experience that matches the championship-level expectations we have for Virginia Tech Athletics. Invest to Win provides greater flexibility to direct resources toward the areas that matter most, including continued enhancements to our venues, technology, amenities, operations and the overall fan experience.

As we ask Hokie Nation to invest more, we believe you should expect more from us in return. That means continually evaluating every part of our Virginia Tech Gameday Experience: from arrival and entry to concessions, connectivity, in-venue entertainment and the atmosphere that makes Lane Stadium and Cassell Coliseum special.

Ultimately, Invest to Win is about elevating the entire Virginia Tech Athletics experience: championship-caliber programs competing in championship-caliber environments for the best fans in the country.

The Hokie Scholarship Fund is being replaced with the Invest to Win Commitment. Going forward, our focus will be the Invest to Win Commitment and the Investors Society, and we will encourage our donors to direct the vast majority of gifts to those funds depending on your desired level of commitment and engagement. No gifts made to the Hokie Scholarship Fund after Sept. 28, 2026, will receive credit for ticketing, parking, or your priority rank.

The Investors Society is the exclusive major giving society of Virginia Tech Athletics, designed to fulfill the critical needs of our athletic department through the dedicated generosity of our donors. Membership begins with a minimum $50,000 major gift commitment, typically fulfilled over five years for $10,000 a year. This will be the most connected group of Hokie donors in Virginia Tech Athletics and is comprised of five commitment levels.

No, there is no limit to the number of Investors Society members we hope to have. We do recognize that a commitment of this level may not be right for every donor at this time. However, for those who are in a position to make this investment, we invite you to join the Investors Society and make a meaningful commitment to the future of Virginia Tech Athletics. We are calling on all Hokies to take two to three steps forward in their philanthropic support.

Joining the Investors Society will be the best way donors can receive the maximum amount of engagement for their investment. Investors Society members will have opportunities to engage directly with our leadership, coaches and student-athletes through exclusive events, experiences, postseason opportunities and select team practices. Members will also earn bonus priority points that could improve their priority rank, giving them a better chance at upgrading seating and parking benefits. Most importantly, they will become a part of the inner circle of Hokie Athletics, a community committed to helping Virginia Tech reach its full potential.

There will be no negative impact on your priority points or ranking. Any gift or commitment to the Hokie Club will still earn two points per $100 given. As long as you make a $25 commitment to the Invest to Win Commitment before March 1, 2027, your priority points will activate, and you will receive a priority rank.

There are three changes to parking going forward. The first will be a return to three parking zones during the 2027 reseating and reparking process. Second, while the zone you can select from will continue to be based on membership levels, those levels have been adjusted, so please consider your desired parking locations when selecting your membership level. Third, regarding eligibility for multiple parking passes under the Invest to Win Commitment, Hokie Stone level members can purchase up to two parking passes. To be eligible for more than two parking passes requires a Hokie Stone membership level and etiher Bronze Benefactor status (or higher) or you need to be an Investor Society Member at the 500k level (or higher). We have eliminated the Hokie Scholar and Hokie Ambassador membership levels from our Invest to Win allocation chart. This change was made in hopes that donors who wish to go above and beyond will strongly consider joining our Investors Society. Donors who still wish to order more than two parking passes in priority can still take this action, but they will need to be at the Hokie Stone membership level and will either need to be a Bronze Benefactor (or higher) or be a 500k Investors Society member. The Hokie Club plans to communicate with all donors who are currently enrolled in a payment plan of any type. This includes, but is not limited to: Payroll deduction, HokieMatic, and electronic bank draft. The communication from the Hokie Club will explain that all contributions to the Hokie Scholarship Fund made prior to Sept. 28 will be credited to your Invest to Win Commitment and donors will have the ability to opt out of having the fund designation automatically switched to the Invest to Win Commitment.

All ticket orders and Invest to Win Commitments must be in by March1, 2027.

No, though all season ticket holders will receive a priority rank because every season ticket has an Invest to Win Commitment of at least $25, you can receive a priority ranking without the purchase of season tickets. To receive a ranking, you must either be a member of the Investors Society, or you must make a gift to the Invest to Win Commitment by March 1, 2027.

If you desire the ability to purchase tickets, you must make an Invest to Win Commitment. If you realize you have made a mistake in your fund designation, please contact the Hokie Club immediately.

Donors will not be permitted to make their Invest to Win Commitment through IRA’s, Donor Advised Funds, or Stock transfers.

For any portion of your commitment not applied to a per-seat contribution for athletic tickets, we acknowledge that no goods or services were provided in consideration for your donation. We encourage donors to seek their own tax and legal counsel in matters related to charitable giving.

Yes, all benefits that were promoted last Drive Year will still be activated on up until February 28th, 2027.

Going forward, we will no longer refer to our renewal process as RenewALL.

Season tickets for men’s basketball will have updated prices starting at $250. Because 2027-28 is a reseating year all fans will purchase at the starting price and additional amount(s) may be owed at the time of seat selection. Women's basketball reserved pricing is staying the same at $160 for adult and $70 for youth. Women's basketball will be going to an all reserved seating venue in 2027-28. Invest to Win Commitments will count across the board, e.g. if your football Invest to Win Commitment is greater than your men's basketball requirement no additional basketball commitment will be required.

Courtside seating for men's and women's basketball will shift to individual NBA-style seating for the 2026-27 season, allowing more fans access to this exclusive area and creating a one of a kind experience. This adjustment includes mat-side seating for Wrestling. Complete an interest form if you would like to learn more about these spaces.
